St Jakob mad for Bosty
Incredible, fascinating, delirious, awesome ! So many adjectives and superlatives could fit to a Grand Prix such as the one of this afternoon in Basel. After two rounds quite full of challenges, 11 riders made it to the playoff. And it is the French Roger-Yves Bost who wins with Castel Forbes Myrtille Paulois. This is the first victory of Bosty with the mare from Lady Forbes, since Myrtille left the Jessica Kürten’s stables to join that of Barbizon’s! World Number One,Rolf Göran Bengtsson is still part of the podium, in 3rd position with Casall La Silla right behind Markus Ehning who makes a great comeback on the podium with Noltes Kuchengirl.
Patrice Delaveau crowned
The French riders were in the spotlight this Sunday thanks to Patrice Delaveau, among others, whose victories and rankings led him to win the watch Moser & Cie given to the best rider of the competition. This reward was well-deserved since he reiterated by taking the 7th position with Orient Express HDC, right behind his compatriot Kevin Staut, in 6th position with Zeta de Hus who performed three times a clear round! As for Billy Twomey’s part, winner of the 2011 edition, he wasn’t expected to let go so easily and so quickly! Up to the end, he’ll have led Tinka’s Sérénade on the best paths performing each time a clear round.
